Product Overview:
Iron silicon powder: a ferroalloy composed of iron and silicon, and then ground into a powder-like material, used for making steel, iron-making deoxicants.
Use of Ferrosilicon Powder:
1. Adding a certain amount of silicon to the steel can significantly improve the strength, hardness and elasticity of the steel, so in the smelting of structural steel, tool steel, spring steel, and transformer with silicon steel, iron silicon is also used as an alloy agent. Used as a gestation agent and spherical agent in the cast iron industry.
2. Adding a certain amount of iron silicon to the cast iron can prevent the formation of carbide in the iron and promote the precipitation and spherular of graphite. Therefore, in the production of ductile iron, iron silicon is an important incubation agent (helping to precipitate graphite) and globular agent.
3. Other uses. Grilled or atomized ferrosilicon powder can be used as a suspension phase in the mineral processing industry.
